Grade 6 finds percentages of whole numbers and recognises the same number as a fraction, a decimal and a percentage. In the Department of Basic Education’s teaching plan, Grade 6 percentages are taught in Term 3. It is tested in the Grade 6 maths Term 3 test and the final Term 4 exam.
