Why does my child think 0,25 is bigger than 0,7?

Because 25 looks bigger than 7. The comma changes what the digits are worth: 0,7 is seven tenths and 0,25 is twenty-five hundredths. The Decimal fractions topic asks this comparison directly, over and over, until the habit breaks.

My child can divide by 6 but not by 24. What changed?

The divisor became two digits. It is not a new idea, just far more work, and it exposes shaky times tables. If long division is the problem, the times tables usually are too.

What is the difference between a factor and a multiple?

A factor divides into the number exactly; a multiple is an answer in that number's times table. 4 is a factor of 12, and 12 is a multiple of 4. The Factors topic asks it both ways round on purpose.

Is volume the same as capacity?

Close, but not identical. Volume is how much space a solid takes up, measured in cm³; capacity is how much a container holds, measured in litres. In Grade 5 they meet: 1 000 cm³ is 1 litre.
