Grade 7 uses formulae for the perimeter and area of squares, rectangles and triangles, and the surface area and volume of cubes and rectangular prisms. In the Department of Basic Education’s teaching plan, Grade 7 measurement is taught in Term 4. It comes up in the Grade 7 maths Term 4 test, and again in the final Term 4 exam, which covers all four terms.
