Grade 7 organises data with tally marks, tables and stem-and-leaf displays, finds the mean, median, mode and range, and reads bar graphs, histograms and pie charts. In the Department of Basic Education’s teaching plan, Grade 7 data handling is taught in Term 4. It comes up in the Grade 7 maths Term 4 test, and again in the final Term 4 exam, which covers all four terms.
