Life Skills in CAPS has three parts: Personal and Social Wellbeing, Physical Education and Creative Arts. The tests here focus on Personal and Social Wellbeing — the part that is tested in writing. In Grade 6 the work splits into two parts: Feelings, peer pressure and health (Paper 1 work) and Citizenship, the environment and case studies (Paper 2 work).

The Grade 6 Life Skills bank holds 300 questions across 12 topics, at least 25 per topic. Each test draws a fresh set, so a second attempt is not the same test.
